Contemplate

Missing image

Without a moment's notice

the fleeting trails

of tender repose

softly sweet, just left

As exhilaration's wave hissed

the mirage of dreams

focused on lonely hours

Draining energy

discounting my being

so tired of tears and fears

just really tired of struggle

Can there be hope

can there be trust

can there be  comfort

I need so little, just a sliver

Seeing my pieces

scattered as raindrop splashes

spilling on the pane

it is time to recover

In these quiet moments

my Mantra is set

a gift from me to me

My way to hope

so worn, yet rekindling

this glimmer of hope

Author notes

Seeking the inner self in times of strife, finding the quietness within ourselves to form a renewed day, living this new path... If we are true to ourselves, haven't we and aren't we the single most important part of re-inventing our being, our soul, our Hope and our Spirit?

    validating

Exposes the inner core that understands the importance and personal obligation to renew oneself. Reminds the reader to love yourself. Very wise. The choice of words are effective at conveying the feeling of recognition depletion and search for replenishment.

This brings a line to mind and my memory of how it goes is not clear, I think it's from the Wizard of Oz, where the witch tells Dorothy, you have the power, it was there the whole time..something along those lines. This does speak to me of having that power. Your author notes are treasures by themselves. Serenity comes through this poem gently.
