Peace

amidst the ambience
of calm,
my eyes seek,

closed;
searching
among the layers

of my heart, and mind,
for just a breath
of wisdom,

found in silence,
and peace -
obedience

Author notes

Obedience:
Learning ‘obedience’ is more than to ‘do as you are told’. It is learning that you are created with all that is needed to be you [i.e. ownership], and this implies that by being ‘obedient to and for this ownership’ you will receive and have 'wisdom' to assure this. Having been asked to outline this, I now would also like to mention, that this 'ownership' is not 'from me', but 'within me', and this I need to discover and to nurture.

    To read your work ...

is to be reassured of and by the Inner Voice ... A deeply spiritual write, acknowledging that all good comes from Him.

A very worthy entry in this contest.

    Blessed be, Friend.

I really enjoyed this moment of contemplation that you seemed to present the reader with. However may I ask for you to maybe help me reconciliate the last word-obedience-?.What is this obedience to? To self and thoughts? Giving in to the moment?Anyway...it is that word that made me stumble and maybe author's explanation would help me. However, genuinly liked the totality of this,
