In this world that knows no tomorrow
We steal,beg and borrow
Our bodies are young, our minds old
Our morals are fickle, our values sold
We languish in muddy treasures
We get trapped by vicious pleasures
In the vortex of a dirty present
We get the future we resent
We sleep to forget
We awake to regret
We steal,beg and borrow
Our bodies are young, our minds old
Our morals are fickle, our values sold
We languish in muddy treasures
We get trapped by vicious pleasures
In the vortex of a dirty present
We get the future we resent
We sleep to forget
We awake to regret

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny

IF?
If love and beauty is what we seek and we only see, hear and feel cruel and twisted hate, then who decides the fate? Our wishes and desires or what is all around us? Perhaps it is a test of our own reality of wills?? A great awakening of thoughts. I am afraid I have not passed this test. I wonder if God will allow me a re-do? I thank you for reminding me of my own responsabilty. I must re-learn how to have the inate ability to respond from within my soul to life and not to the dark side of the earths fate. -
This was fantastically written-
we sleep to forget,
we awake to regret.
such simple words to portray the complexity in us all, you have the ability to condense large ideas/questions into simple yet meaningful prose, which reveals more on each reading. I'll keep watching for your thoughts, because they turn into words worth reading.
