summers scorching flames,
I sidestep reality.
Blazing sunsets
became snows crunch underfoot,
dodging icy veins
of grief.

Heat of passions rise and burn, leaving a cold brittle shell when passed and thoughts drip frozen from the mind. Wonderfully descriptive and creative, many thanks for entering into the contest.
Be well and be blessed,

icy veins of grief... now that is deep! When you are sad... it sure does feel like we have ice running through the veins. Well done. Juls

I like the reality of this piece. An excellent take on the prompt. So much imagery and descriptive expression is settling in thought as i ponder over your words.Brilliant. Good luck.
