when a person suffers they are a cause for mercy
let em live says I
because Christ died for us
He gave us a new life
and He helped us to understand by dying
as it says in the quote it is the rich who wage the war
and the poor who die
but my friends let me tell you it is the exact opposite
the rich who are poor in spirit die
but the poor who are rich in spirit live.

I like this poem.

I agree, majorly.
In the first stanza it's sorta like a near-rhyme you have. (i'm out of school now, so i haven't a clue if i'm making sense && i tend to forget in the summer..)
But, I like it. I love how "I" and "Life" are so close in that. It flows well in that part.
"when a person suffers they are a cause for mercy
let em live says I
because Christ died for us
He gave us a new life
and He helped us to understand by dying"
~~and that's definitely my fav part.
Nice work, nice work.
I wish you the best of luck in the contest.
Keep them spirits high and knock their socks off.
Sincerely,
dovey ~
