If I could talk to chocolate
I'd say Hi there How do you do?
I am so glad that I am me
And really glad you're you!
He said "My name
Is really sweet;
My name is also
Yummy to eat.
I was born in a factory,
Live on a shelf.
That's my life,
So how 'bout yourself?"
"I live like a wild man,
Run round and round.
I love to eat candy,
The sight, smell, and sound."
We talked for a while,
But then I got thinking
About hunger and thirst
Eating and drinking.
I started to look
And stopped listening
I think while he was talking
He also was glistening.
I wanted to eat him,
But decided I wouldn't
Knowing that he could talk,
Well, I just couldn't.
I love eating chocolate
But I like even better
When we talk for an hour
While he's knitting a sweater.
I'd say Hi there How do you do?
I am so glad that I am me
And really glad you're you!
He said "My name
Is really sweet;
My name is also
Yummy to eat.
I was born in a factory,

Author notes
I love chocolate. I'll never be able to look at a chocolate bar the same though.....

Oh My
You have brought chocolate to life in such a delicious fashion. I may think twice before I bite into that next bar of chocolate. So much imagery and the kicker is he was knitting a sweater. Well done

Awesome!
Really creative,if i could talk to chocolate I'd say, "I'm gonna eat you" and if it could talk I bet it would say, "not if I eat you first!" -
Haha, I thought there would be "cannibalism" here but you proved me wrong

I like how the conversation flowed so well and the last line: genius, haha
Not much to say here, it was quite a nice write, hehe ~ -

I loved this poem, it made me laugh out loud! I particularly enjoyed the gradual change in thought:
I started to look
And stopped listening
I think while he was talking
He also was glistening.
Good luck in the contest!

A fun read. Conversation with chocolate while knitting a sweater certainly opens a door of imagination. I like this one very much.
