Forty-five
And what have I done?
What is my life,
Has it just begun?

And tomorrow
Just another day?
Time gone cold,
Far away

Memories
Of days gone by
A smile, a touch, a gentle sigh
Laughter, raindrops, melodies
Disappear in the distant breeze

This has a sad but gentle feel to it, a bit like a whisper on the breeze.
Your rhyme is lovely and doesn't sound forced at all. Gilly has got me used to left align these days so I agree with her there.
This is really lovely....will be back to read more of yours later.

I'd prefer to see this set to the left as im not a huge fan of centre-aligned poetry...

but i think the rhythm in this stands well on it's own.. time to stretch your poetic wings girl.. and fly
