Have you ever tried to catch the world in your lungs?
Felt the mountain, the cold rush fly past your teeth,
oust the settled fogs of your palate
and expand the crevice path to your chest,
only to shorten the way, press the lung skyward?
Have you ever tried to hold the living chill?
The true breath refuses, will not permit containment,
but fills us, momentarily, towards whole and complete.
Blessed be us, though, for half the force is release.
On instance we hang; for, though fleeting,
time in past is life sealed; by humankind, unchangeable.
Somewhere, the sand dune shifts; the long grass dips...
motions of the seconds unalterable, though kings may try.
In this, finished, find eternity; it waits in our experience-
but even our inability to shift those raindrops felled
suggests the able, who can; can command all time extend.
Else would we be the failing? Would there be a question?
Twice-blessed us, inhale.

Oh this is so deep! Like seeking the Immortal One, the One who: "can command all time expand" 'Thrice-blessed us' who read this work of opening spirit where 'the true breath refuses, will not permit containment, but fills us momentarily, towards whole and complete. Blessed be us, though, for half the force is release.' I love these lines, they reveal the simple truth of life...let go and just breathe. Best wishes in the contest. Peace, Rhonda

I am very amazed with this..I dont even know how to comment.
This is so beyond what I have read in a long time and I am speechless, haha.
I suppose all I can do is wish you the best - in the contest and in all other things.
Best wishes and thank you.
