Standing alone on the beach
Songs of the Sea
Magic as I let loose
Cry out loud
With sobs
Of grief and joy
Allowing the Sea
To touch my feet
As I am exposed
To the very nature
Of Earth herself
Distant songs
Sung on waves
Of being here
Lost in time
Meadows of silence
Wait for me
Above the towering cliffs
In those hidden spots
I found my spirit
Against the rocks
Of life the Sea
Pounds me to sand
Yet I remain
Refined into
Glass
That can shine
A picture of what is outside
Yet a barrier to keep out the storms
Yet we know every glass house may shatter
Here I stay
On a distant beach
Far away form home
With only the Sea
To call my home
Even the distant
Meadows seem so far away
The Sea speaks to me
As I gaze into the deep blue waters
Flower peddles fall from the sky
As birds cross the path I walk on
by the driftwood
I stand in this mire of self doubt
Not knowing what cross roads I may come across
Life seems to be ebb and flow
Tides come and go
So today I find
A little sanctuary
From the storms of life
By the lighthouse
The keeper, the Great Spirit
I found that rock
That I can cling to
In desperate times
Fighting for my very survival
Fear flooding my sight
As the storm of life batters me
Debts so deep
I cannot surface
Or face what may come tomorrow
A blasting wind
Around the bend
Throws sand in my face
A nasty sand devil
Caused by the winds
Twists across the sands of time
Wahinekai I know
I seen that Native Hawaiian face before
Hidden within the sands of time
You standing there
Looking right into my very soul
I am falling
Will you catch me?
Will you let me go?
Will I fall and hit rock bottom and never come back up again?
Fade, rise and fade again
Turned inside out
By what love has done to me
I misunderstood what love means
Until I met you
Now I do not know where to start
You are shocking
Swaying with the pulse of the drums
Driving me crazy with all your moves
Grace and power
No one will dare
Make a move on you
I back off
Yet you are firm
Not letting me go so fast
You spin
Towards me with grace
Cutting my pathway out
The way you twist and turn
Holding me up as I am falling
The door seems not an option anymore
Loving embrace
Caught my mystery
Fantasy and disorder
Some things are brought on tables of glass
These things I have no clue what they are
You come and you tell me these are gifts for me
I look at the items
Across this table
See my destiny placed on that table
Shark bone necklaces
Bracelets made of sea shells
A few rocks, perhaps volcanic in nature
I stare in disbelief
As you sway to the pulsing drums
You start to sing
....SING....
Words to the song
I do not know
Spoken in Native Hawaiian
I am left dizzy
As you leave the room
Like an Eagle
Up on high
Power points
Magic and wonder
The places
I never knew
Are now right there
In my mind
In my very grasp
The giver of life
Rainbow spirit
Came to me
With great medicine from above
