Pleasantries

You call me at work just to say,

“I love you,” of course with

no emotional bartering or

ulterior motives in mind.

I found the yellow sticky note

you strategically placed on the mirror,

a sensual message with its

edges curled by the steam

from my morning shower, and

I shaved with a smile.

I like the image of the sticky note steamed up by the shower and perhaps the message upon it in particular Its the little things that make life worth living, and you have captured some of the sweetest little things right here..

It's always the small, caring things that make a difference and you put that thought across so well.

Best wishes in the contest dear.

You have such a gift for picking out the small, the most ordinary things in the plodding parts of our lives and raising them up into little gems of poetry... (Even down to the subtlety of the title).
    Another beauty!
    Good luck in the contest!
