My shattered soul,

It’s hard to keep you out of my mind,
When you’re in my every waking dream.

But how can I do that,
When my heart and my mind is so far away?

“Love”, what does that mean?
To hold one in your heart,
Or is it only a dream?

Why must I think of you?
And why must I care?
I almost have no choice but to dream of you,
Yet I know you’re not there!

But there is another!
For whom I have held dear,
But my mind has been enveloped,
Enveloped with fear.

Will this love,
That has carried on through the years,
Nurture my soul,
Or overshadow me with fear?

We fought and we screamed,
But unlike you,
My love for her shall carry on,
