Nothing but a curse

Some people believe immortality is the key to life
I believe immortality is nothing, but a curse
To live amongst the living over and over again
Breathing in oxygen I dont need to survive
Going through this shadow of a life repeating
Thinking that I should reside in a grave somewhere
Knowing that I should have died along time ago
Even though I may be alive I am still dead inside
Still breathing, still walking, and still alone
Everyone has outgrown me and no one could ever stay
I am lost and the only bit of humanity i have strays
I can only hope for no future to exist
I can only cope with what living has given me
I can only dream that one day I won't survive
But I am stuck in this time rut and I cant get out
Decades flash by me and the people change
No one can truly understand what its like to live
Until they have been in my shoes and lived forever
People tell stories, but I live in them
I can't escape this wretched fate and I can't hide
I will forever be here and forever be isolated
Every person who walks among me will never know
And I will never be able to share my life
Because forever doesnt have till death do us part
So I sit here rotting away and hating myself
