On the occasion of a rowdy excursion,
12 explosives may come into play.
Explosives are noisy creatures of fun,
24 and always know what to say.
They cackle,
28 and sparkle,
and light up the night,
41 with noise that can cause a terrible fright.
As excitable as they are,
51 yet aliens do live far,
they see the bright lights down below
64 and misunderstand it all for morse-code.
They fly into a panic,
74 because they cannot stand it,
this message that flashes their death.
85 So the little things run,
and hide not for fun
97 but for fear their tragedy will come.
Author notes
My choice is none other than that of #6.
I do hope that works for you two.

A little silly and a lot of fun. I liked it.

Loved it! Excellent write
I thought the numbers in this were a kind of morse code and was desperately trying to find their relevance.
But I finally did
and I thank you for entering our contest with 97 words
