Shall I tell you a story.
Yes a story, If you please?
A story about a naughty little Imp
And the great god Ing.
"Ing, Ing my god, my king! Arise from thy depths to help a poor thing!"
So the great god rose from his darkened depths and faced the little Imp who then ceased his steps.
"Puck you little fool how dare you disturb me! the winters wind has ceased and my season of growth has just begun. What could you possibly want to urgently?"
"Oh great Ing, my god, my king! Oh please help such a poor little thing?"
The great god Ing sat and bid the little Imp to continue.
"Great Ing, my god, my king! Mighty and powerful. Fruitful and just. You are strong, true, and fertile as the earth you so greatly govern oh great king, but I have found in our midst one who does not believe in your almighty-ness..."
"What? Puck, of whom do you speak? I am the great king Ing, the god of all the earth. I am the giver of life and the foundation for all! All know of me! Who would not?"
"Great Ing, my god, my king! Yes, all know of you! Who could not? But there is one who does not believe in my kings great light. He wishes to see proof of your greatness and your might..."
"Who does not believe in my power Puck? Bring him to me and I shall show him my great might!"
"Oh great Ing, my god, my king!" Puck fell face down to the ground holding up one tiny hand to Ing, "Please forgive me, but it is the wind sire! He told me that you were over rated, ragged, and jaded! He is the non believer! Oh great Ing, his only request is that you prove to him that you are the mightier."
"Very well! Where is that impudent wind hiding? I shall show him how great and mighty I truly am!"
Then Puck stood creeping closer, closer, and ever closer to Ing, "Oh great Ing, my god, my king. His instructions for proof were very clear." Puck pulled out a small smooth stone and held it out to Ing, "He wants you to grow a rose out of nothing but a stone."
So the great god Ing placed his might hand on the stone and *POOF* he was gone...Little Puck glanced at the stone and on it was strange looking character. But Puck pocketed the stone and ran before anything bad could happen.
He finally stopped at an old house in the woods. He went inside and took out the stone holding out to an old hag.
"Here he is just as I said. Now give me the reward you have promised, only then will I give you the power I have promised."
Before he knew it the old hag had thrown dust all over him and he turned to stone! The old hag walked over taking the stone from Puck and turned to place it with all of the rest of her stones.
"You are a fool my dear little Puck, and now you are out of luck! You where good for your use, but your use is needed no more. Puck your time as a mischief maker is done, but now with Inguz...my time has just begun!
So now our story has come to an end,
And there is something I must recommend,
To toy with the gods will bring you nothing,
Especial when an old hag promises you something.
For you see nothing good will come of it,
And you shall spend the rest of your life feeling...
Oh I don't know...
Like a rock!
Author notes
