Abandoned hallway with a giant door
No particular knob or window
Beating...pulsing...pumping
The lifeforce within me
Decorated with her furnishings
Bedsheets and couches
A place to lay her head
Comfort and warmth of her home
The tapestry on the walls
Contain painted canvases
With portraits of us
Love speaks a universal language
I converse it with her
Every breathing moment
When she awakes from her slumber
And walks down that hallway
She stares at those pictures
With tears in her eyes
Whenever she wants to run
She reverts back to her home
Hiding under the covers
In her comfortable bed where she's safe
Her home will always remain
In that precious place
Author notes
One of my more descriptive poems...I'm not even gonna tell you where the location is but I'm sure you all can take a guess...I want to know what you all think. She's built a home there, and it's there to stay. I miss her a lot...more than any of these poems can show...
