In Every Room Your Name Is Etched

Missing image
in every room your name is etched
on walls on ceilings and on beds
in doorways passages and loft
your fragrance lingers vaguely soft

in every drawer locker store
your memories flit as before
on every shelf on every rack
your eyes confront me staring back

your studio becomes a shrine
a place where I can free my mind
a safehold where you paint my pain
within the recollected stain

within the recollected stain
a safehold where you paint my pain
a place where I can free my mind
your studio becomes a shrine

your eyes confront me staring back
on every shelf on every rack
your memories flit as before
in every drawer locker store

your fragrance lingers vaguely soft
in doorways passages and loft
on walls on ceilings and on beds
in every room your name is etched

I like the way this unfolded, how the poem speaks of reflections, then becomes a reflection. The flow and rhythm makes this flow very well, and adds to the overall feel of the piece. Well penned.

You are writing and posting so fast that I can't follow you. Although, I read, many times without a comment. This time and this poem caught me to the middle of core. In my modest opinion this is one of your best. It's easy to see and to feel your own emotions in each and every line and beyond them. Great write.
