Values Of Life

The turmoils within slowly fading,
Changing along the years.
Making mistakes, left withered,
Maturing into an adult.

Learning the values of life,
A wonderful feeling of love.
Someone who makes me feel whole,
Waited for this glory my whole life.

Holding on tightly through the nights,
Banishing away the memories.
Surviving through the abuse,
They were always trying to break me.

Love was so unfamiliar,
Never though I was worthy of it.
Kicked alot of addictions to the curb,
Thankful none of my attempts were succesful.

What dosen't kill you,
Will make you stronger.
Is a saying I never could understand,
Yet I have the underlying meaning.

I look ahead to my future,
Frightfuly and anxiously.
Thankful to have found him,
My knight and shinning armor.

Author notes

This is a poem about how i feel. Im not sure if it will be clear to anyone else but it is about the changes that I have been through. There was a time when all i wanted to do was off myself yet I have survived and am very thankful. I have found someone who loves me and am very thankful for it.

Please tell me what you think
