I think the spirals are kinda cute! but you need to keep them wayy deep in the background, cause its getting a little difficult to read! hehe
Add a layer of black at the back! and um make the font pink or teal to add to the feel of this background

In another program, you could lighten or darken this, lessen the contrast, do any number of things. I like it as is, even with the white. Unfortunately, you cant read from it.

I do see what you mean about the colour tho... it does make it a tad hard too read, but it's cool none the less!!
