The love we still have for each other
they will never understand
A love not of passion but of a close friend
Once husband and wife, but now only friends
Friends for life we will be
a love for God and children we still share
Our love, our friendship is misunderstood
I wish they understood this bond that we share
A bond of friendship,
that allows us to care
about the other's happiness
dreams and well being
Though we are no longer in love
and they misunderstand it

A marriage does not have to end in bitterness and pain, Mark will always be one of my best friends, and we would still do anything for each other. I have found that people do not understand this. I'm sure this isn't exactually what you were looking for but it is what came to my mind.

sad for some to not want you to be friends. I think that any couple that can part this way are better people for it. Especially if there are children involved. It makes no sense to fight, it only hurts the kids. Loved your thoughts, excellent poem, congrats on the Hm

Very precious and sweet. All you say is so true. This world is hard enough and hatred, anger, bitterness, revenge, and that sort of silliness doesn't benefit anyone. I see no reason to go there. You are and shall always remain my friend. God bless you, Mark
