The Stallion of Doom (pic Inspired)

The Stallion of Doom (pic inspired)

Ebony as ebony can be,
frightning yet mesmerizing,
galloping like wildfire
across forests and valleys,
a shiny black stallion is he,
the Stallion of Doom.

He carries none on his back,
for he is far too proud,
and far to swift and strong,
to bear a mortal human on such a back.

Galloping through different lands;
lands of fire, of greenery and of ice,
and yet all creatures flee before him,
hiding in their burrows and in the dark.

Though ebony,
his galloping can be heard from afar,
as he stamps the ground with his hooves,
as he storms the quietness of the night...

Long has this stallion lived,
and in all the lands he has passed,
its creatures and peoples have called him
The Stallion of Doom!

I adore this poem. I love horses, they are powerful, they are free, they are unmatched. To me, this stallion of doom seems like death. Black as pitch, everything shies from the darkness of death and from this horse you've described. Both travel wherever they must, and neither can be stopped. Thanks for entering and good luck.

This poem makes me think of a dimension traveling stallion called The Stallion of Doom. I like this it was powerful and very well written.

This would make a great theme tune to a kids TV show about mystical creatures, you can almost here the sound of it ringing in your ears, can't you...?
