Virgin Bliss

Bring forth my love, another hopeful night,

unite the happiness this love will spring.

Recite the words of hope, and let them sing.

Wings now given, as they gently take flight.

Cling softly the emotions to delight.

Invite desires, may empty souls ring.

Ignite the fires within from loves sting,

strings of memories make this moment right.

Let heart songs play in wonderful refrain,

arise tender passion with just one kiss.

Obtain freedom within lovers secrets,

regret not the joys the future contains.

Sighs of fulfillment, sounds of virgin bliss

remain on these lips, that they not forget.

Author notes

For him as always....

An Italian sonnet would have an end rhyme of: abba abba cdecde, which would mean the start rhyme for an Italian Princess Sonnet would be baab baab edcedc (or baab baab efcefc). This will give the sonnet a cascading quality when read aloud.

I love the innocence in this poem... so much has been corrupted in this day and age and no one seems to respect the softer romantic aspects of being in love. So much has become crude and harsh. Thanks for reminding us that there is more out there, I loved reading this. =) It is an excellent piece with lovely imagery as well. Keep up the good work and never stop writing!

GREAT WRITE! So simple and sweet...the language makes the rhyming scheme work even BETTER! You're going to crush that contest!

    "Obtain freedom within lovers secrets,
regret not the joys the future contains.
Sighs of fulfillment, sounds of virgin bliss"

Nothing like the virgin innocence and losing it first and only time...I wish I could lose it all over again. You've really touched me with this piece and the picture is BEAUTIFUL!

True love and romance takes time, dedication and caring; which you depict through your beautiful rhyme. This is the best Italian Princess I have ever written...how ironic that my love is an Italian Princess as well...

Good luck in the contest and once again you have perfected this type of sonnet. I can earn something from you! 9.5/10!
