Dreams lay down in the dust
And the road begins to rise
Mountains appear where mists obscured before
Rain-scrubbed my journey lies ahead
Steep,crushing and defiant
I have swallowed the half-orb
for good luck.

The opening line in this poem is very good and stopped me in my tracks to ponder on what the poem was going to be about, nice work in getting that responce from me. I like your take on the title prompt too.
