but a feeling to your soul,

Fuck, biology.
All I can think of from here is an analogy involving the pituitary gland. It can receive nervous impulses and respond with hormonal impulses, so it's like a communication translator. Which is what we need here.
...I'm going to go crawl in a corner and die for even coming up with that.

I like the idea behind this. It's true - all we have are words, but how can they properly convey feelings? Can you make someone else feel the ache in the pit of your stomach just by telling them you have an ache in the pit of your stomach? Can you convey the joy you feel when they walk in the room by telling them you're glad to see them? No, you cannot.
