All around is heaven on earth:
My own personal paradise.
My world is all it should be
As as I stand and watch the sun rise.
Who wouldn't want to be me?
I sit on the bank of the Amazon
And watch the water drift by
After another beautiful day is gone.
A thunderstorm rages outside
The deafening roar all that I can hear.
It is useless to try to talk to someone
So all people around me seem to disappear.
The stars are so bright above my head-
They seem so close I could touch one I'm sure.
No diamond is a beautiful as what I see,
Scattered across a black sky so deep and pure.
The day does not always go too well,
I cry just like everyone else does.
But I have hope and beauty to see me through,
And I know tomorrow will be better then the day was.
