A Mother In Denial

As this hurt flies over me
Like a punch that you can't see
But I know the fist that's hit me here
It's him, the man, the monster I fear
He hits me now and rapes my soul
Takes my heart, and leaves a hole.
Blackened by this memory
Now nothing is left inside of me.
You can't see it, but I do now
He's knows I'm ugly, inside and out.
These bruises left on my body here,
You can't see because of fear.
You don't want to see him, standing close
You're in denial, you fear him the most.
You should be there to stop what hurts.
You should be there to save my world.
But you stand close, yet so blind
You are deaf to these screams of mine.
