Taking a gift not meant
for his Christmas.
Engaging in crime and punishment,
can't you hear her scream?
Pounding force of selfishness,
robbing blind - her innocence;
Laid out, unspoken
on the night's canvas;
Broken and forever changed.

"can't you hear her scream"
Genius. I love how you asked that question. You could have said, "she is screaming" or "she screams" but when you ask it, it makes it more personal. Good work

OMG!
This poem is deep and touches places in me that I would have soon forgotten, but it is written very well. Rape is never an easy issue to deal with let alone write about it tactfully. You did a fantastic job with tact. ~mandie~ -
