A country's embrace,
to peace for all man.
With justice and freedom,
I know that we can.
You embrace other countries,
and their much distressed hearts.
While others watch as they die,
watch shattered souls fall apart.
And no one can separate,
My heart from its song,
You've been singing to me,
Singing all along.
You taught us all well,
With your wisdom and strength
And it's time to embrace you,
With my arms at their length...
Because I love you America,
My heart is your place.
And freely I'll stay,
Living in your sweet embrace.
