Remembering the Morrow

Pale eyes shimmer, earthen gray
Permeating through the thick mist
Transfixed within a thousand memories
Breathing, the figure takes it in
Within winds whispering silently
The dusting of ones soul… speak
.
Waters rest slow
Against the banks of an ocean
Tap, tap, tapping… out the rhythm
Of life
Captured in the eyes of a white tail
Breath, hanging… listless
In the air
.
Autumn leaves, blend
And begin a game of tag… drifting
Floating sightless upon silken wings
Jealous... a raven begins the daily course
High above the nap of life
Encircling a forest green
Scanning the ocean
Nestled along-side a lake upon the wood
.
A river flows slowly
Gently caressing the water worn stones within its grasp
While she slowly, and methodically
Shapes the world within her own imagination
.
The world... gated
Through tired eyes
Tears flood and fall
Within and on the molten blue
Seasons speak soft
Remembering a band of brothers lost
And the opulent memories
A mind begins to feed
.
A tear within the fabric
Peering into the sightless
Brothers standing before him
Reaching within the mist
Touching a dawn that can never exist again
Emblazoned… the figure weeps
.
And walks toward and into the ocean
And this destiny
Mesmerized inside the crux of the situation
Yellow eyes pause, watching
A muzzle slowly dips within the waters
And breathes

Mush

    "Autumn leaves, blend
And begin a game of tag… drifting
    Floating sightless upon silken wings"
Those lines have always been my favorite of this poem...they remind me of walking to school during autumn and watching the wind dance with the fallen leaves just one last time...hell I got a tattoo of it, lol. beauty at its best...
