A sultry maiden dark,
lovely locks, flowing hair,
glinting eyes lights do spark,
Oh! gentlemen beware!
Beware she's the Cajun Queen,
known in the French Quarter.
Gorgeous, but Oh! so mean;
breaks hearts... all that court her.
Rumor says Mulatto born,
neither black neither white.
Between the races torn,
in the south what a plight.
A rare beauty, no doubt,
her looks surely do deceive.
"Come hither", she will flout,
then alone, she will leave!

Powerful!
Alluring and stunning. Perfection. Thank you for your entry and Best of luck in my contest. -
Wonderful write... your flow is superb and the rhyme sounds natural... rolls of the tongue beautifully

She's the type of lady you just watch and smile politely from the other end of bar. Even an old fool like me knows when to leave well enough alone..lol. Good luck in the contest.
Sincerely,
Leo Long

Oh, gentlemen, beware!'
Beware, beware!
Her flashing eyes, her floating hair!
Oh...my, such a bewitching queen you are!
I'm afraid I might request to be your slave....
Kisses...all over, honey!

Nice job.

Very nice... sounds like it was written from the voice of experience (LOL). Well conceived, well rhymed, and I'd bet well received...
