She's a Teenager

Missing image
In the jungle of nowhere
She’s tied up to her fears
Hair strangle around her neck
Tears fall off her regretful eyes
Saltine rubs on her wounds
Painted on her scared innocence

Bruised by the merciless world
Left alone in the middle of the forest
Where winds of shame swirl around
Heart broken into colorless vapors

Tied up to the rules of the jungle
Where she finds no place
But only a robot mechanics is her chance
If she wants to break free into the hands of everyone
For she’s a teenager, not allowed to breathe
…she has no identity

Daddy’s little girl made for the puppet show
Driven to bruises world refuses to see
Hurt she bottles in her bleeding heart
Mind plays million tricks on her
Kismet echoes her untold story
But only for her ears to hear

She’s a teenager a puppet of her family
Built to live her parent’s dreams
And bow down on her bruised knees
Before the military of the world

She’s a teenager; she’s got no identity…

Author notes

When I'd worked with troubled kids, all I saw & learned that all they wanted was someone to listen to and ask them what their hearts wanted... I am the luckiest kid on this earth to have my dad treat me like a true queen - who has her own identity and still is a part of the family. I hope, pray and wish for every kid to have the family & dad like mine then there wouldn't be troubled kids in this world... just listen to them and treat them with respect... we give birth to them that doesn't make them our property, it's the magic we create that has its own personality.
