my hands are tied
I can not breathe
unbound me please
and set me free
my heart cries out
my soul is dying
my abuser holds me
here in hiding.

congratulations on the silver. This is short but filled with emotion. thank you for entering. I enjoyed the subtle rhyme. Maybe a different line break though ... it looks like free-verse until it's read. Line breaks or stanzas would help give it some power too I think

this is very well written Rheea-on the outside i got the feeling of a physical abuse but after a few more readings i am left with a picture and a deeper darker sense of mental abuse-either way a good take on this prompt...peace to you and yours.

Oh, so different, yet sad. This is very emotional, in the very few lines. Very well written, I loved the whole entire thing! Excellent job! Thanks for entering =) Keep on writing, until you can't no more!
