No Freedom, Please

Freedom is what soldiers fight for
It’s how our country came to be
Freedom is what so many die for
But it’s something that no one will ever see.

We all have strings that attach us
To things required every day
People, lovers, bosses, children
Are not going to go away

Leaving us to a true freedom
For freedom is what makes us content
An oxymoron of what we live for
And no one wants freedom to that extent.

This was quite a subject to take on lassie,
Our Earth bound chains are but an illusion,
we can all change our lives, become different people,
    we are all free,
but or society enforces the thought of chains that are so very weak. I have had many lives from nap sacks to beach houses, to pauper and prince...it scares the masses of robotic work a day pedestrians to see someone that is free...it frightens them because they know they have the power to change ...to rock the boat...to disappoint the guardians of stifling expansion.
A bird is only chained to the sky that you see above you....there's a song that he sings when he takes to the sky.....he try to teach us that there is more in that song then all the skies we cannot see from our
    small perch.
    This was very thought provoking,
you are a thinking mans poet.

    It's darkest
    before the poem,

Them first two lines nearly made me vomit. But I will heed my reactions.

I found this steady and carved into a well set format. Very simple but powerful.
