Sunset rests her gentle hand
her final warmth released,
to rest until a new day dawns
and leave the world in peace.
One last look over oceans deep
radiant glow through heavens gate
waves roll tenderly into shore
leaving horizon ablaze to find her mate.
Crossing over, moon arises,
to softly light the night,
protector of the sleeping earth
with stars that twinkle bright.
But twilight briefly halts this passage
as these two combine,
together sharing a paradise
of a love so fine.
Through ardours gate they wander
and with devotion harmonise,
fireworks flash between the two
as they pass with mournful sighs.
But as the earth revolves around
they know they'll meet again,
but till that time a lustre rests
an everlasting chain.
