Would You?

I am the kind of person who asks a lot,
  a person that would ask everything,
  a person that doesn't stop asking,
  a person that wants to ask you a favor,
But, would you do it for me...
  even though you still don't know what it is?

Will you walk away like everybody does,
  when you learn the favor that I'm going to ask?
Will you be deaf so as not to bother yourself,
  for the unvoiced favor , to my lips it hasn't left?
Will keep your eyes shut, to prevent yourself from seeing,
  even though tears flooded me, keeping me from smiling?
But would you do that to me?
  Would you?

I am a kind of person who asks a lot,
  but don't worry, I can keep it to myself,
  that is, if that's how it is suppose to be...
  But still, would you do a favor for me,
    not because I'm asking, but for me as me?


To lose my hope is what I feared most,
  but would you bring that back for me?
To lose my tears because of my endless crying is what I hated the most,
  but would you try to bring it back to me?
To lose my heart is the most painful thing,
  but would you make it beat, good as new, when you bring it back to me?
To lose my life is the most undesirable thing,
  but would you give it back for me, when you colored it nicely enough to bring me breathing again?

Four favors I have to ask to you,
  would you go back and do nothing,
or would  you stay and start working?

I would do these favors if ever you'll ask me,
  For a long time ago, it's a promise I have made...
  of course, I would do these things for you,
So would you do the same for me?

I wrote this poem just this month, I was depressed, really, but, today, I'm recovering... and it's really a good idea...

I was like looking for someone of whom I really don't know i address this for but yup, this are just about longing for someone of whom I could depend on in this times...

    This is very good. I could understand your sentiments with this cause personally it's never easy for me to ask. I chicken out. I'd rather figure it out myself.

    But this is more on a relationship-base scenario...giving and receiving...that kind of win-win situation, the willingness, toleration of extreme favors. A guy wouldn't mind doing you favors, he'll relish doing it, that is if he is smitten, but since courtship is taking their best foot forward...once in a relationship,things would change...

    I'm not sure this really fits in the contest, but if you want my verdict, I thought it was okay. My problem with it is that it seemed like more of a story or a letter than a poem. I think it could use more imagery too. Thank you for entering my contest.

    I loved the whole concept of this poem. You made it very real. If you asked me after reading this then I would have to do the favour becuase you asked so well- how could anyone refuse you? I hope you got what you wanted!
