Celebrated along life's catwalks
lighting fires from afar
that will never melt away the ice
suspending the heart,
a precious jewel merely to be admired,
never caressed and wholly loved.
The mind has become a bleak desert,
if they but knew,
embraced by curtains
of perceived backstage excitement.
But the cry of the womb
is never silenced
and if never given voice
remains unheard.
Wafer thin beauty
glides gracefully through,
with sterile ovaries
laying wrinkled upon
lacy mantles
and pure white christening robes.

Author notes
"Perfection is terrible, it cannot have children.
Cold as snow breath, it tamps the womb
Where the yew trees blow like hydras,
The tree of life and the tree of life
Unloosing their moons, month after month, to no purpose."

This is beautiful, I love the phrasing and word choice throughout, as well as the presentation.
"never caressed and wholly loved."
I love this line, it is quite amazing. A wonderful piece, well deserving of that silver.
Well penned
