I came in search of soul food last night, a sought after distant light to lighten the load Im weary and tired of carrying, and instead of relief I found that others too are bearing a weight and bleeding hearts , there is oh sooo many, and who am I to think my load is too much when "others" sorrows only confirm that bad things happen to good people and be it so that good things happen to bad people as well just as un-remarkedly so, the compassion and sympathy or empathy brought forth was enough to remind me why some remain ignorant and others learn what bad things happened to create beautiful people and I am so thankful once again to share a piece of that "truth" with you, your shared sorrow has touched me and may it allow for shared healing as well. Love and light-thank you

      Precious Soul ...

Thank you for reminding me to carry on, regardless of all the wrongs. Please know that our earthly burdens WILL be set aside and we WILL be healed. Healing is not abruptly, although insight may be. And yes, I see in your words deep insight and wisdom. Thank you so much for reading my work. Blessings to you, beloved soul.

      Love
      Myra

Btw, is VINCENT (Starry, starry Night,Don McLean)not an incredibly beautiful song? AND: Starry Night of Van Gogh is my favorite painting of him ...

Return the favor landed me here. I have seen Judas spun as a idealist who was outmanouvered by the Religious leaders. He failed, by not forgiving himself...

The mind is a complex thing...

A kiss of betrayal received will always leave a scar will it not? Good luck in the contest.

    Sincerely,

    A powerful hammer-blow of a poem--this has real impact.
One can feel the raw pain of betrayal here.

I have always found the character of Judas to be one of great fascination; an oft misunderstood and much maligned character he is. His betrayal was a necessary part of the passion play, and I wonder, was it strength or weakness that led to his betrayal? Thanks for a thought provoking and wonderfully executed write. I love the dual possibility of this; the personal possibilities suggested by "...upon my cheek."

This is such an indidictment! I hope the scar is temporary. Abuse is life's bane. Sorry it happened to you. You have captured your disdain perfectly.

The scar is on the soul ...

and permanent -- in this life.
