I've heard it said so many times
I start to wonder do we really know
what it means anymore
We use it so often
Its like we just don't care
And when did “I Like You”
Start meaning the same as I Love You
Because I just don't understand
How I can pour my love out
and be told that they feel
like that we were just friends
I've used it so many times
to describe how I feel
but now I start to wonder
did I ever know what it really meant
and how do I give my love to one who rejects it
I'm asked to wait, to sit idly by
and the pain growing inside
unable to take it away
but longing for the sweet embrace
when I can prove my love is true
So I ask again
do we really know
what it means to love
So what does it mean to love.

But when denied love is hurt and in despair....
