My Soldier Brother

You've gone away so far away
You once told me it was your duty
To serve for our country and to keep me your sister safe
Still in high school you made a choice to live and maybe die for your country
No one knew you had made that decision until you got called away
Getting that call saying that my brother was gone off to Iraq
Was the hardest news I had to hear
I don't want to loose you but I am so very thankful
You followed your heart and soul
Even if it meant that you might die
I love you bro
And I'm so happy to say I am a sister of a soldier

I have two sisters at home myself, I know that they love me, and do not wish for me to go to Iraq. Yet in the end, it is our duty. I'm sure you love your brother very much, and he really is doing this not just for our country, but for you, his sister. Thanks for entering, and good luck!

From a fellow sister of another soldier..
Sometimes, few words are needed to communicate the same emotions we feel, when we see others going through the same situation. I will keep your brother in my prayers as well, as every other soldier. Bless you and your family.
