Gold Finch

Gold wings
flutter, tasting
granules of tiny seed.
Pointed beaks sifting endlessly.
Soft chirps
bursting upon delicate breeze
announcing morning sun
to all who sleep.
Day break

    Worthy of the Gold

    One would
    wonder if the
    gold would be awarded
to a work titled Red Robin
    Good choice
    A pleasant way to awaken
    Tis truly much nicer
    than alarm clocks
    GET UP!
