Labor Day Under The Oak

It's September now,
and kids are heading
back to school-

It seems like I've
been coming to visit
you my entire life.

I feel there is nothing
I can't tell you.

This friendship
has come to mean
alot to me.

Today, I thought
I would tell you
a bit more about
myself.

Besides what I've told
you already,
I am a wife,
a mother, and
a grandmother-

I love to read,
and write,
and I love
to listen to music.

I find music
to have a very
healing effect
to it.

Would you mind if
I asked you watch
over the kids
as they begin
this school year?

Keep them safe,
whether they
walk to a bus stop
or to school.

Thank you my friend,

Until next time...

Another wonderful spoken piece under The Old Oak!

And now it seems that a lot of kids will have a friendly spirit watching over them thanks to you, my friend! Another fine addition to your OLD OAK JOURNAL, to say the least! I only have one minor complaint about this piece - as you forgot a famous poets birthday (and that would be - as i intend to be known all over the world one day, HE! HE!) which often falls on labor day - or the day before it or after! LOL!!!
    Peace & Love!
    Earl.

    A gift

It is always nice to have someone watch over you, your kids and friends. A blessing for you.
