securly holding on
to every second
we have until dawn
your lips carress my cheek
my smile reappears
i start to close my eyes
as they fill with tears
you lead the dance
holding me with ease
i start to sigh
for you know how to please
my lips touch yours
moving in time
with the beautiful tune
your love is sublime
i rest my heavy head
on your warm chest
your heart beating
no different than the rest
i start to get drowsy
you carry me to my bed
you hum a lullaby
easing my sleepy head
i now wonder
if that was love
but now i realize
it was a gift from above
