I close my eyes, darkness descends.
Down through the black, time slows, distends.
On a blank canvas, the colors blend,
with a burst of light, my mind transcends.
The roller-coaster aftermath :
now facing an unlikely path.
To mother's love, from lover's wrath,
from wretched tears, to belly laugh.
Deeper down the spiral go,
past mixed signals, static snow.
Love blooms, fed by fury's flow,
subconcious buried deep below.
Motives mixed with molten need.
In my core, doubts roil and breed.
Of hope, there remains but a seed,
and with it, faith will not concede.
Up from the pit, my concious flies,
to reinstate a smiling guise.
Back to the world, senses apprise,
as I reopen sagacious eyes.

I know, this might seem a bit pretentious, but this IS what I saw when I closed my eyes. I see swirling colors, which led me to see it as a high-speed ride through my psyche. The future, the past, my emotions, and then back to reality.

I enjoyed this poem....
the learning of meditation for the soul...it takes a while
to quiet and ease our minds..so we can peacefully..be.
Well done..we journeyed with you upon each line and
verse!
way to write!
