A letter came home
A note then was read
A tear had just fallen
As a girl cried in bed
Whe she opened the letter
It told how he died that day
The letter said that he was a hero
She should be proud he died that way
I heard she threw that letter away

The poem i wrote was very short,yes but it was made 4 all the soldiers and was sent to the yellow ribbon society, it was read at Matt Maupins funeral.
