Through sepia mists the past appears dim
strolling through memories of present times,
knowing my mind is full to the brim
yet with such difficulty out of this mist I must climb.
There are silhouettes that tease the mind
some clear, some blurred, yet all rather unclear
and wondering what other memories I'll find
I step most carefully in trepidation and fear.
But through the haze there's a light shining through
and steps into the past look brighter than I thought,
I know that it's time to find what is true
and maybe I'll find the answer that for so long I have sought.

This is very interesting. Walking through your past in your mind... as a forest... this is a very thought-provoking one. And I like the idea. It has a certain mystery too. What is it that the speaker is searching for in their past?
Thanks for entering!
