My first haiku.
-.-
I swear, I'll get better...or stop writing haikus. =D
1st "haiku"-9 syllables
2nd "haiku"-11 syllables
Man, do these even qualify for haikus? Apparently, haikus don't have to be a 5-7-5 format...thank God. I still don't think these are right though...at least, not TECHNICALLY.
The Matrix inspired this haiku...too bad it won't do it justice, but the movie flat-out ROCKS!!!
...I swear, all these poems inspired/based on The Matrix should dissolve in a few weeks. =D
Honesty appreciated. So are compliments. =]

Haha. Haikus are fun. Especially when they`re supposed to be funny. I wanna write one!!!! A silly one.
`Machines

Best part.

Excellent
They flow nicely
and the syllable count is not manditory
but only a suggest goal to aim for
and they are usually written in the present tense.
Punctuation/capitalization is frowned upon by many
including myself.
Haiku are suposed to be nature related
with at least a vague seasonal reference.
This would be more like a Senryu
which is the same
except it references
human nature or emotions.
Whatever it is I loved it
and you should definitly keep trying.

I love punctuation...only capitalization for prose...and the beginning of a poem. =D Screw rules!! I'm going to bend them 'til they break and call them haikus.
Thanks for your comment

The matrix is freakin BALLIN, ahahaha. Good job on the haikus, mmm i love them. Haikus dont ahve to be in a 5-7-5 format, thats how they we're used traditionally. The new age of the modern shatters a lot of traditional braces. But nice job again! we should work together on them they're so FUN!

LOL. Can you ever do form poetry?
Please.. don't. Just, don't.
These aren't /really/ haikus.. cause they ARE 5-7-5.. and yours are like, yeah. Just.. STAY FREE JESSICA!!
DON'T CONFORM!!

FREE YOUR MIND.
Matrix moment there.
