Affairs Of The Mind

Images that transcend thought
wishes that all come to naught
weary from the wars I've fought
in days gone by.

Searching through a tired mind
looking hard only to find
memories on a loop re-wind
to make me cry.

brain on fire I've done my best
finiished now I've acquiesced

recollections all compressed

The task complete.

Just one affair to give me peace

thoughts inside that will not cease

expanding, whirling they increase

  lol ... this is where the muse went. Kind of like my mind at the moment. I try to stop thinking but just can't seem to. I search inside for some thought or memory that will bring peace but it doesn't come. Just more confusion and pain. I guess holding my head between my hands and screaming, "Stop!" is like delete. LOL
