IN THE QUIET OF THE NIGHT (c) Copyright 2008 by Earl F. Hubbard Jr.
(from SULTRY LIGHT - TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES coming before the Summer is over!)
In the quiet of the night,
I saw a shooting star,
over our glass house,
that wasn't very far -
from my fingertips,
from your rising breasts,
that slowly rose and

I kissed your parted lips,
and held your slender hand,
in the quiet of the night,
only two can understand.
I heard your gentle heart,
filled with love and light,
singing our love song,
in the quiet of the night.

Lovely! It has a sensual and sultry quality that just shines. You are certainly in a beautiful world, my friend.

This is a very sensual and delicate piece which is only to be expected from you given the current trend in your poetry. Some nights are more memorable than others and you’ve captured the mood of a very special one in this poem. If this one night was all any one had then they really couldn’t wish for anything more.

This was truly brilliant. I love this form so much haha I might steal it from you, haha probably not. I feel even more jealous that you have books out haha Even if I'm too young... but still. Lovely write. Keep on filling those pages with lovely ideas.

I am reading this and the song going through my head is In The Still Of The Night, one of my faves. I can see all I am going to be doing is SIGHING, wishing, hoping and dreaming, of finding a love so special, tender and true. You really know how to steal a girls heart with your love poems. Simply beautiful, so looking forward to the rest. Left a beautiful feeling.
Love you ~sugar~ xxx
