Snowfall on 31st December

I watched and watched and watched.......

The white tame steeds of the galaxy
The milky stars that breathed
in the bosom of the sky.

The gleaming lotus bloomed
in an azure lake of ice.

I watched the cherubs sent
that kissed their mother earth.

I watched a lovely present
sent by the precious heaven.

I watched the fragrant roses
as pretty as are tears.

I watched the dying year
transformed into a lively infant
and named as Hope-cm-Fear.

This is truly an uplifting, beautiful poem, mezmerizing from beginning to end. I came across a comment from you on one of my old poems and realized that I don't recall reading any of yours before. I've missed so much.

The metephors used in this work of art are amazing. I must read more of your work... starting right now

    AWESOME!

I am normally a rhyming poet but often read one that don't because sometimes there are those that capture my eye. I stumbled across your piece in my travels around the sight and am glad I stopped to read because this has to be one of the softest and gentle poems i have read in quite a while. The translation into English worked so well and you managed to display so much feeling in the words used. I simply adore the very first verse, maybe because the stars and the universe are favourite subjects of mine.

The white tame steeds of the galaxy
    The milky stars that breathed
in the bosom of the sky.

How could you not fall in love with this verse. It's astonishing in itself. Really, everything about this piece is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

  • First of all i love your picture you have there. It reminds me of some old photos my grandmother had hanging on a wall. As for this poem, such a delicate and soft way to put things. I feel a true deep love in your writing that you don't find in most. Very passionate and sweet. My favorite part was the azure lake of ice. Bravo!

  • A lovely piece you have written, making the reader feel what you watched. The imagery was vivid to say the least.

    WOW

    terrific!
a lot of poems don't keep me holding on for long...but this one did...
I love the vivid imagery...and short stanzas...perfect for this poem...
not what I expected from the title...maybe change the title to something more abstract and interesting...
but overall, a very well written poem...

    my favorite part was:
    I watched the fragrant roses
    as pretty as are tears.

    definitely one to bookmark...congrats
