as sunlight streamed
right into the shiny curtains
a warmth filled her
as she let down
her long, beautiful hair
among haunting streams
and loneliness
she watched out
of the ragged windows
into the autumn sky
as pale blues swirled over
fresh yellow
and memories of yesteryear
filled her mind
as she gently
flipped back
her raven hair,
she prayed for a miracle
for maybe tomorrow
there would be
some good news
~not heard in a long time~
Author notes
option 5~ cliche inspired
