Solace of Hope

Warmth of memories, my only solace,
embers of his love lay heavy upon my mind,
  hope...
burning against my heart,
    flickering
like a candle in the wind.

Dusk settles me into oblivion,
and yet,  I wish upon that star,
reminded of the twinkle in his eyes
where  I saw love,
                    that touched me whole.

Very pretty, just sparse and stark enough to be a wonderful take on the picture.
